Christine studied studio arts at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduating, she moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

She dreamed of illustrating children's books and started working on samples for her portfolio, and a children’s book of her own.
​
A decade later, she went back to college and earned her teaching certificate in elementary education at Western Washington University, and a Master of Education, after which she was a substitute teacher for seven years.
​
During that time, the busy mom of two wrote and illustrated three children’s books.
​
Since then she has taken creative writing classes and found an amazing writer’s group- Everett Creative Writers' Group.
